Curtis Knievel, VP Sales & Marketing

Mr. Knievel is the Vice President for Sales & Marketing at 700Credit.  Curtis brings a talented mix of sales and marketing experience to his position.  An Oregon native, Curtis grew up in the prestigious Knievel family. Curtis’ father, Nick, is Evel’s only brother and was a SCCA licensed race car driver and automotive dare devil. Nick holds several wins in automotive racing, and a world record for jumping automobiles.

Curtis’s grandfather was also a SCCA licensed race car driver and builder.  In addition to the Knievel family’s love for automobile and motorcycle racing, the family has owned several dealerships and franchises including the very first VW franchise in the state of Montana, which later became Knievel imports.  Curtis shares in his family's passion for automobiles and motorcycles which contributes to his success at 700Credit.

Michael Byrd, President

Prior to joining 700Credit, Mr. Byrd spent 8 years in the investigative and background screening industry, both in sales and marketing leadership positions.  Michael was Vice President of Sales & Marketing with First Advantage Corporation (FADV).  Michael currently holds the dual position of President for both Screening One and 700Credit, which offers an entire suite of products and services to the Automotive Industry. Michael brings his experience as a successful leader with core competencies in strategy development, negotiation, client relationship management and new business development, to drive growth within 700Credit. 

He is a results focused leader with a proven track record of generating new business and building long term customer relationships. Michael graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human & Organizational Development where he played baseball. Upon graduation, Michael was drafted to the Cleveland Indians where he played professional baseball for two years.  Michael resides in Brandon, Florida with his wife Lisa and sons Carson, Gavin and Griffin.

Matthew L. Briggs, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Briggs is a founder and CEO of 700Credit.  Mr. Briggs responsibilities include vendor partners, product development, affiliate channels, sales & marketing strategy and technology.  Prior to founding 700Credit, Matthew worked for a national credit reporting agency.  His unique mix of managerial, creative and technological expertise has contributed to 700Credit’s explosive growth amidst an evolving market.  Under his leadership, 700Credit has grown to the largest privately held automotive CRA in the nation.  His accomplishments include forging the partnership with Reynolds & Reynolds the largest DMS in the nation as well key system integrations with many of the top software providers.  Currently, 700Credit processes more than 1,000,000 credit products each month, and is often first to market with many specialized credit reporting and compliance solutions.

A Southern California native, Matthew graduated from California Polytechnical University San Luis Obispo, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree and played Men’s Volleyball. Matthew resides in Southern California with his wife and two sons.

Jeffrey T. Briggs, VP & General Counsel

Mr. Briggs is a founder and General Counsel of 700Credit.  Jeffrey is recognized as an industry expert regarding corporate law and compliance.  He received his B.A. from U.C.L.A. in 1989, and his J.D. from Southwestern University in 1993.  Prior to co-founding 700Credit, Jeffrey was an active business attorney.  He handled a diverse range of trial and transactional matters, including successful litigation of an array of complex matters in both federal and state court.  Jeffrey’s series of successes in the courtroom involved several Fortune 500 companies.  Between university and law school, Jeffrey worked as a federal legislation analyst on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.  

Jeffrey’s prior role as legal counsel to established and emerging businesses and industry clients give him a unique perspective in his current role as Director of Compliance at 700Credit.  Jeffrey’s strategic vision, analytical skills and counsel have contributed to the significant and sustained growth of the company.

Kenneth H. Hill, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Hill is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, NY, with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, and a Minor in Mathematics.  Ken has over 18 years experience in the credit industry.  He began his career as a computer programmer, programming communications, scoring and analysis programs that utilize credit bureau data.  Ken has a strong leadership and project management background.
